Handball is particularly popular in Europe, but handball is less popular outside of Europe. Handball is more popular in non-European countries, for example in North Africa (especially Tunisia and Egypt) and in Asia (especially South Korea and Japan). Handball in Europe is organized in the European Handball Federation (EHF), which in turn is a continental federation of the International Handball Federation (IHF).
